Dr. Michael Fortini is the director of Merrimon Family Chiropractic. He graduated from Life Chiropractic University in 1986. He then started a practice in NY, NY, on the Upper West Side from 1987-1990 at Museum West Medical Center.
Dr. Fortini held private practice in Bayside, NY for over 20 years and was host of the radio program “The Health Awareness Show” which aired on WEVD in the 90′s. He has helped thousands of people in New York discover a new healing potential in their body, without using medication.
Dr. Fortini relocated with his wife and two children to Asheville in 2006 in search of a higher quality of life for himself and his family. He is now a member of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce and North Carolina Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Fortini’s gentle methods of spinal alignment have given hope to thousands who have been challenged with conventional medical methods. Dr. Fortini has developed a special technique for adjusting the cervical area, a gentle “Brailleā technique which balances and restores function to many muscles, glands and organs in the body. His technique is extremely effective for reducing nerve interference that contributes to major problems such as migraines, fibromyalgia, dizziness and neck, shoulder, arm, wrist and hand complaints.
He has also taught Gonstead’s cervical chair technique at Life Chiropractic College.
Dr. Fortini is a member of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce and North Carolina Chiropractic Association. He also taught Gonstead cervical chair at Life Chiropractic College.
